Old-school motors and classic cars take to the streets of Torremolinos as the ‘Amigos de los Clasicos’ rally returns

The 31st edition of the beloved Amigos de los Clasicos car rally is returning to Torremolinos this Saturday, September 19th. This long-standing event has grown from 70 cars in 2022 to around 120 vehicles this year, attracting enthusiasts from across Andalucía, as well as farther locations such as Murcia, Alicante, Madrid, and Salamanca.

Rally participants will gather at Plaza Blas Infante, just outside the town hall, starting at 9:30am to register their classic cars. The vehicles will then proceed along Rafael Quintana Rosado street, round the roundabout by the old fire station, and follow the ring road towards Malaga before turning onto Avenida de La Riviera. Along the way, the convoy will pass by picturesque coastal promenades at El Bajondillo and La Carihuela before returning through the town centre and concluding at the fairground.

Each participating car must be a minimum of 35 years old, ensuring a showcase of genuine vintage automobiles rather than modern replicas. Awards are typically presented during the rally, recognizing factors such as the farthest traveled distance, the oldest and youngest drivers, and the best-preserved or restored vehicles. In previous years, a special mention was also given to a group of regular attendees who have participated in every single edition of the rally.
