Nick Chubb Makes Statement Ahead of Browns Opener

This was a familiar sight for Browns fans who had witnessed Chubb's intense training sessions throughout his seven-year tenure with the team. Chubb's retirement was influenced by his long-term health, as he aspired to conclude his career in good health and alongside a winning season. He spent his final season with the Houston Texans in 2025, but his most notable years were with the Cleveland Browns, where he earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2019 to 2022 and rushed for 6,843 yards and 51 touchdowns in his career.

Chubb suffered a severe knee injury in September 2023, which required two surgeries and extensive rehabilitation. Despite this setback, he returned to the Cleveland lineup in October 2024; however, a broken foot ended his comeback season prematurely. The Cleveland Browns have expressed their interest in welcoming Chubb back to the organization, with an invitation for a ceremonial contract and potential celebration.
