Missing GP woman: Family urges public to stop unverified rumours

The family of a missing woman in Gauteng is urging the public not to spread unverified information. They are awaiting confirmation on whether the body discovered on Saturday is that of 38-year-old Elizabeth Moselakgomo, also known as "Tsontso". The South African Police Service (SAPS) has ramped up efforts to locate the 38-year-old runner, who was last seen leaving her home in Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, several days ago.

Her family spokesperson, Dawn Gauden, stated that an unidentified female body was found near York Street, but due to the injuries and the late hour, her family was unable to identify it. The body was subsequently taken to the state mortuary for identification, which will occur on Monday. The family is strongly requesting the public to avoid disseminating any unverified or unconfirmed information.
