Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil to reach Mumbai on Sept 20 with protesters

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil informed reporters on Saturday that a protest will be staged in Mumbai when he and his supporters arrive on September 20. In Antarwali-Sarati, he did not reveal his departure plans but disclosed that his initial stop would be in Patoda on September 16. His associates suggested he may leave Antarwali Sarati in Jalna district on September 15.

Jarange stated that the Maratha protesters will reach Mumbai on September 20, with planned stops along the route. Each day, they intend to travel around 100 kilometers before halting for the night. He appealed for peaceful protests, urging participants to refrain from attacking or setting fire to property. All those heading to Mumbai must adhere to a peaceful path and secure their rights democratically.

Also reported, the government delegation will not meet Jarange-Patil; rather, he accuses them of antagonism. He stated that although they might take a slight detour of 100 to 150 kilometers, their ultimate goal is to reach Mumbai and achieve their demands. The activist proposed that people in the districts they pass through should join the streets to support them and return home.

He emphasized that they are fighting for the future of Maratha children, and those who own four-wheelers should bring their vehicles to accompany them to Mumbai. Upon reaching the city limits, they will leave their vehicles with the activists, who will head to Azad Maidan from there while the cars return home safely. Jarange estimated the cost of fuel for the journey, claiming it would benefit the children of the Maratha community.
