Kimi secured the top position in the Design Arena, but lost four out of five rounds in a single video. The video aimed to test which model performed best across five different design challenges in a one-shot test, where the model was given a prompt and required to produce results without any adjustments. The challenges included landing page design, three-dimensional scene creation, component library work, mobile app development, and game asset creation.

The results showed that Kimi won one round, Astra won one round, Claude won one round, and there was one tie, with no single model emerging as the overall winner. The headline's claim that Kimi "rules" Design Arena is accurate based on the data, but it overlooks the fact that achieving first place in all categories is a different achievement.
