Kaduna road accident claims 12 lives along Kachia road – FRSC Commander

A tragic road accident along the Kaduna-Kachia Road in Kaduna State has resulted in the loss of 12 lives, with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirming the incident. Two Volkswagen Golf cars were involved in the collision, which occurred near Doka Village in Southern Kaduna. FRSC Sector Commander Mr Andrew Paul Longkam disclosed that 14 individuals were traveling in the two cars, of which 12 met their demise while 2 sustained severe injuries.

All eight male passengers sadly perished, alongside four of the six females. Only two females managed to survive the accident with injuries. The FRSC Commander emphasized that none of the occupants, including the two drivers, were wearing seat belts or any protective gear at the time of the accident. The cause of the crash was reportedly attributed to a tyre burst, rendering the vehicles uncontrollable.

The two injured victims have been transported to Rapha Hospital for medical attention, while the deceased have been laid to rest at Idon General Hospital awaiting notification of their next of kin.
