‘I resign as MP CM’: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke's satirical letter after Balaghat heckling

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, resigned as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister on Sunday following a satirical letter posted on X. The letter criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government for the recent deaths of more than 30 tribal children in the Balaghat district. Dipke accepted responsibility for failing to provide timely medical care and support to the affected children, who died due to monsoon-related infectious diseases and poor living conditions.

He questioned the insensitivity of the government's decision to increase the compensation amount for the affected families, implying that the lives of tribal children were not valued. Dipke also highlighted the government's failures in providing adequate healthcare, clean drinking water, and quality education to the tribal population.

He expressed shame that despite 21 years of BJP government rule, not much had been done to improve the lives of tribal families, who still lacked basic amenities like tap water and proper schools. Dipke's resignation came after he visited Balaghat to meet families of the deceased children and demand accountability from the administration.
