‘I Play Rocky,’ ‘Green Book’ director Peter Farrelly says he’s on another high at TIFF

TORONTO - Peter Farrelly, the director behind the upcoming film "I Play Rocky," said he felt a "high" after his movie received a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film, which revolves around the creation of the iconic movie "Rocky," stars newcomer Anthony Ippolito as a young Sylvester Stallone.

At the film's premiere, Ippolito earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Stallone's distinctive voice and mannerisms. Farrelly, known for his work on "Green Book," said his experience watching "I Play Rocky" surpassed his previous high, the premiere of "Green Book" in 2018. The film, which stars Toronto native Stephan James as Carl Weathers, is set to release in Canadian theatres on November 13.
