‘He’s unbelievable’

Viggo Bjorck put on a dazzling display during the past weekend's tournament games in Quebec, making quite an impression on his teammates from the Winnipeg Jets prospects team. This included members of his own team who experienced a pair of tournament victories. One such teammate, forward Davis Burnside, was in awe of Bjorck's skills, calling him "unbelievable." In a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs young guns, Bjorck executed a no-look through-the-legs pass to Burnside, leading to a shorthanded shiner in a 6-4 loss.

Burnside wasn't the only one impressed by Bjorck's play. Rookie forward Brayden Yager, who scored a goal and had two assists, praised Bjorck's vision and poise, saying, "He just makes plays, he's poised, and a ton of fun on the bench, too. He's awesome." Yager had a stellar weekend, with 30 points in the previous season's American Hockey League games.

Other notable performances included rookie defenseman Alfons Freij's two assists, and goals from Ontario Hockey League graduates Kevin He, Jacob Julien, and Kieron Walton. The young pros on the Winnipeg Jets prospects team, including Burnside, Lucas Wahlin, and Lukas Gustafsson, will be eagerly watching Jets training camp this coming week.
