Hearts of Oak began the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season strongly with a thrilling comeback win over Bibiani GoldStars. The Phobians, who had won their opening match 4-0 against Berekum Chelsea, arrived in Bibiani full of confidence but were forced to fight hard against a GoldStars side determined to bounce back from their loss.

GoldStars took an early lead thanks to a goal from experienced striker Kwame Opoku just 10 minutes into the game. Hearts struggled to contain the home side and eventually equalized in the second half through Yaw Baafi, who converted a pass from Kwaku Boateng Henry to make the score 1-1.
