Hanuman Ansh collection: Devotional drama earns 118 times its budget; crosses Rs 236 cr mark

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, and Hollywood star Julia Roberts may all potentially star in a sequel to the surprise hit film "Hanuman Ansh." The devotional drama, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, has amassed a staggering Rs 200 crore at the box office since its August release.

The first part of a planned three-film series, "Hanuman Ansh" follows Neem Karoli Baba's early life and his journey to becoming the revered spiritual leader. Co-producer Namrata Singh revealed that the filmmakers have already reached out to some celebrity devotees, including Kohli, Anushka Sharma, and Roberts, who were aware of the project before its release.

The filmmakers have outlined the trilogy's narrative, with the second instalment focusing on Neem Karoli Baba's years at Kainchi Dham and the third exploring his influence on international personalities.
