Haiwaan box office collection day 2: Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan film crosses Rs 5 cr mark

Haiwaan, the film starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, made its debut on Friday. However, the film did not receive a strong pre-release buzz, and advance bookings were also below expectations. On its first day, Haiwaan managed to collect Rs. 3 crore net in India, which was a far cry from what was anticipated. Early estimates suggest that Haiwaan might not experience a significant increase in box office collections, with a possibility of witnessing a decline to around Rs. 2-2.50 crore. Nonetheless, if the late evening and night show attendances are up to par, the movie could see a boost, potentially earning somewhere between Rs. 5-5.50 crore net in two days.

Unfortunately, Haiwaan has not been well-received overseas, earning only Rs. 1 crore gross and taking the worldwide gross total for Day 1 to Rs. 4.60 crore. With a budget of Rs. 100-115 crore, the movie will need a miraculous jump in box office collections to avoid a flop status. Reviewers have given the film mixed ratings, with some praising the performances by Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar but acknowledging that the movie offers nothing new apart from a few fresh scenes and different actors.
