Google built a security cage for AI agents on Android, but it's still empty

Google is bringing its Gemini AI to Google Sheets on Android, making spreadsheet analysis easier on mobile devices. With Gemini, users can ask the AI to summarize tables, spot trends, and uncover insights directly from their phones. While more complex tasks, such as generating formulas and advanced formatting, are still handled in the web version of Google Sheets, the mobile experience is getting a significant boost.

Navigating through rows of data on a small screen can be cumbersome, and deciphering hundreds of numbers can be a daunting task for a smartphone user. Google aims to alleviate this pain point by integrating Gemini into the Google Sheets app for Android. Once inside the app, users can tap the Gemini icon and pose questions about the spreadsheet, such as summarizing data or finding patterns, and receive answers and visualizations on their device.
