Commercial Bank marks 12th Young Bankers Programme

Doha, Qatar witnessed the successful conclusion of the 12th edition of Commercial Bank's Young Bankers Programme on Sunday, 7 September 2026, at the Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay. The closing ceremony gathered young participants aged 14 to 17, their parents, and Commercial Bank's senior management to honor their achievements.

First launched in 2014, the programme is part of Commercial Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to increase financial awareness among Qatar's youth. In line with Qatar National Vision 2030's Human Development Pillar, the Young Bankers Programme provides young individuals with practical knowledge and skills to better understand the banking and financial services sector from an early age.

Since its inception, the programme has garnered over 2000 applicants, demonstrating the increasing interest of young people in gaining real-world experience in the banking industry and enhancing their financial management understanding. The annual summer programme commences with a two-day orientation, introducing participants to banking and financial management fundamentals.

Following this, participants engage in hands-on training at selected Commercial Bank branches and lounges, where they gain insights into the Bank's products, services, customer experience standards, and daily operations.

Participants also receive exposure to retail banking services, digital banking channels, and responsible financial practices, fostering their confidence in managing financial decisions. At the closing ceremony, every participant was awarded a certificate of completion, acknowledging their dedication, enthusiasm, and accomplishments throughout the programme.
