Canadiens sign forward Zachary Bolduc to four-year deal with US$4.2 million AAV

The Montreal Canadiens have inked forward Zachary Bolduc to a four-year contract, with an average annual value of US$4.2 million, according to the NHL club's announcement on Sunday. Bolduc, 23, had a standout season in 2025-26, registering 12 goals and 18 assists in 78 regular-season games for Montreal. He also led all forwards on the team with 170 hits that year, finishing second on the squad in hits behind defenseman Arber Xhekaj.

Bolduc, who was traded to Montreal from St. Louis on July 1, 2025, also played in the team's 19 playoff games, scoring three goals and four assists in seven total points. Prior to joining Montreal, the first-round pick (17th overall) in the 2021 NHL draft had 75 points in 175 career games across three seasons between St. Louis and Montreal.
