Located in a town of only 13,000 residents, their victory made them the smallest town ever to play in the top flight of German football. Antonio Nusa, the Norwegian winger, was the top performer for Leipzig, scoring a goal and assisting two others, including one for Christopher Nkunku. Leipzig's victory put them in fifth place, while Hamburg's loss left them at the bottom of the table after their third consecutive defeat.
