Bubba Wallace Erupts on Radio After Huge NASCAR Chase Wreck at Gateway

During the chaotic restart of Stage 3 at the Enjoy Illinois 300, a series of collisions shook up the NASCAR Chase contenders at World Wide Technology Raceway. Bubba Wallace and Chase Briscoe, both vying for a spot in the championship, spun their Toyotas into each other as they battled for position. Wallace, positioned on the inside, was left without enough room, as evidenced by his expletive-filled radio comment: "We’re killed in the left front, I mean, what the [expletive], dude?"

He later apologized, but his frustration was clear. Briscoe's team initially gave him the green light to continue, but the damage was already done. Meanwhile, William Byron and Chase Elliott were also sucked into the wreck, with Byron's Chase hopes already dented by a previous mechanical issue at Darlington. Wallace, fighting for a top-10 spot in the Chase, was particularly frustrated, as the accident came just as he was starting to climb out of a difficult early position.
