Biggest concerns for Ravens following the 41-23 victory over the Colts

The Baltimore Ravens' 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Monday showcased several concerns that will linger as the team prepares for their Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

The receiving corps took a significant hit with three key players sitting out. Zay Flowers was ruled out with a hamstring injury after a solid game, catching five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. Ja’Kobi Lane's absence stemmed from a wrist injury, while Devontez Walker missed the game due to a groin issue. Baltimore finished the game with Brian Hoyer, Marquise Moore, and Rashardo Wester filling in as healthy receivers.

The offense appeared less explosive without Flowers, although Marquise Moore delivered a 53-yard reception.

Penalties were another red flag for the Ravens. They were called 10 times for 86 total yards. Inside linebacker Evan Tighe committed two holding penalties, while running back Javon Kearse followed a false start with his own infraction that created a challenging third-down situation.

The secondary also faced some challenges. Tampa Bay's Victor Cruz left the game early, while Ravens cornerback Jimmy Humphrey briefly went down and received medical attention before returning to the game.

Indianapolis' early offensive success was another area of concern. The Colts marched 59 yards for a touchdown on their opening drive and ultimately gained 133 rushing yards. Baltimore's talented roster allowed them to overcome those issues in their win. However, the same mistakes could prove costly against a stronger opponent in Week 2. Health and discipline will be top priorities as the Ravens prepare for their next challenge.
