Bayern Munich edge Elversberg as Leipzig thrash Hamburg in Bundesliga

RB Leipzig rebounded from their Champions League loss at Como by crushing Hamburg 5-0 in the Bundesliga on Sunday at their home stadium. Norway winger Antonio Nusa shone for the visitors, netting a goal and providing two assists, including one for French winger Christopher Nkunku, who had not scored for Leipzig since his return from Paris Saint-Germain in August.

Brazilian forward Tidiam Gomis, along with Willi Orban and Romulo, also put the boot into Hamburg. The win lifted Leipzig to fourth place in the table, while Hamburg, already bottom of the Bundesliga after three league matches, suffered their third defeat of the season. Leipzig entered the match having already faced criticism and pressure following recent losses, with sporting director Marcel Schaefer expressing unity within the club despite the setbacks.

Gomis opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Nusa added a second to make it 2-0 by halftime. Nusa then set up Orban's 72nd-minute goal and another for Nkunku just two minutes later. Brazilian striker Romulo added a late touch with a counter-attacking effort. Leipzig's dominant victory continued on Sunday as promoted Elversberg hosted Bayern Munich.
