Backup QB Tait Reynolds leads 5 scoring drives as Clemson defeats Georgia Southern 22-7

Freshman Tait Reynolds took over as quarterback for Clemson after injured Christopher Vizzina was sidelined, leading the Tigers to a 22-7 victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday night. Reynolds completed 16 of 27 passes for 178 yards and led five scoring drives as Clemson bounced back from a 51-10 loss to No. 11 LSU in their previous game.

Clemson's T.J. Moore contributed 103 yards and a touchdown on seven catches, while Nolan Hauser was 5 for 5 on field goal attempts. Georgia Southern's Max Johnson threw for 244 yards and a touchdown, while Vizzina started the game and connected on a 10-yard touchdown pass to Moore. However, Reynolds' performance and the defense's strong showing, helped Clemson overcome a nearly 500 yard deficit and secure the win.
