Apple quietly hikes iPhone Air, 17, 17e prices in Malaysia after 18 Pro launch

Apple Malaysia quietly raised the prices of several iPhone models shortly after unveiling the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. This price hike impacts the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, and iPhone 17e, with the majority of variants now costing RM300 more than their previous launch prices. However, the iPhone Air 1TB version sees the steepest increase, now priced at RM8,299, up from RM6,999.

This represents an RM1,300 jump from the original launch price. The iPhone Air 256GB model saw its price rise from RM4,999 to RM5,299, while the 512GB model increased from RM5,999 to RM6,299. The iPhone 17 variants also experienced a price surge, with the 256GB rising from RM3,999 to RM4,299, and the 512GB increasing from RM4,999 to RM5,299.

The iPhone 17e models saw a similar upward adjustment, with the 256GB jumping from RM2,999 to RM3,299, and the 512GB climbing from RM3,999 to RM4,299. This price revision follows warnings from Apple CEO Tim Cook about rising memory and storage costs potentially affecting product pricing.
