Agustín Ramírez’s caps Marlins’ 4-run 9th with walk-off homer in 6-4 win over Dodgers

Agustín Ramírez delivered a walk-off two-run homer, leading the Miami Marlins to a 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in a season-clinching game on Sunday. The Marlins capitalized on four runs scored in the ninth inning, securing the win and a 4-2 season series lead over the NL-West-leading Dodgers. Xavier Edwards and Jakob Marsee opened the ninth with consecutive infield singles against Tanner Scott, while Javier Sanoja tied the game with a two-run double.

Brock Stewart replaced Scott, and Ramírez connected on a 2-1 fastball over the wall in left-center. Dax Fulton sealed the game with two outs in the top of the ninth after Mookie Betts drove in a run for the Dodgers. Miami (74-76) claimed two of three games from Los Angeles and won the series 4-2. Dodgers rookie Josue De Paula contributed a three-run homer in the fourth for his first career hit, following a season-high 34,814 attendance.
