After three matchdays, Bayern Munich trails SC Freiburg
FC Bayern is behind the league leaders.
Three matchdays into the Bundesliga season, Bayern Munich finds itself trailing SC Freiburg in fourth place, with seven points. The victory over SV Elversberg was crucial for the champions after their disappointing draw at Schalke. Harry Kane scored the decisive goal, ensuring all three points. Currently, Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg both sit at the top, with nine points each, while RB Leipzig also sits on seven points, level with Bayern Munich.
Despite the setback against Schalke, Bayern's primary objective was securing a result against Elversberg. The upcoming match against Union Berlin is of particular importance, as Bayern cannot afford to give their rivals early advantages.
