A ‘thank you’ for Pokémon fans: Go Nagono reveals the heart and effort behind PokéXciting! 30th Anniversary celebrations

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — The Pokémon franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary with the first ever event of its scale held in Malaysia, PokéXciting! Director Go Nagano of The Pokémon Company, shared the heart and effort behind the celebrations. Nagano expressed gratitude towards fans, locals, tourists and long-time Pokémon trainers, stating that PokéXciting! aimed to enrich both the real and virtual world with Pokémon characters.

The event featured a stage show, parade and in-game Pokémon Go experience, all meticulously planned to cater to diverse fan base. Nagano acknowledged the support from local partners, especially Petronas Group and KLCC. He found the planning process relatively straightforward, but the rewarding aspect was seeing fans enjoy the parade and stage show.

Nagano expressed excitement about bringing this scale of event to Malaysian fans, calling it unique to Pokémon. As of now, the final drone show is scheduled to take place tonight at 9pm.
