6 months into war, Iran and UAE find consensus in BRICS declaration

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed satisfaction with the Brics declaration endorsing a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue. In its statement, the ministry lauded several key aspects of the declaration. Firstly, it praised the declaration's stance against efforts to forcibly remove Palestinians from their land, including Jerusalem.

The ministry also welcomed the declaration's call for an end to Israeli occupation. Additionally, it endorsed the declaration's reaffirmation of the two-state solution, its support for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations, and its backing for an independent, sovereign, and viable Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.

The ministry also welcomed the declaration's support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and its mandate, as well as its call to safeguard sacred sites in Jerusalem and ensure access to them. Furthermore, the ministry praised the declaration's emphasis on protecting the Palestinian people and guaranteeing unhindered humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The ministry emphasized that these positions align with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, highlighting the urgency of translating them into practical and concrete actions.
