2027: INEC releases final list of 122 Ondo national assembly candidates

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released the final list of 4,878 candidates on Saturday, paving the way for the January 16, 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections. Of these, 18 are vying for the presidential seat, while 4,860 will compete for the 109 Senate and 360 House of Representatives seats. The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leads with candidates for all positions, followed by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Change (ADC).

President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi are the presidential contestants for the APC, ADC, and NDC respectively. The oldest candidate is 79 years old, while the youngest is 35. The final list includes all current and former government officials, with all party leaders and governors seeking re-election under the APC banner.
