Zeeland West shuts out Canadian opponent by 'diving around out there'

Zeeland West secured a dominant 24-0 victory over Canadian high school team Newmarket Huron Heights on Friday. Senior defensive back and running back Logan Nash was a standout performer, making numerous tackles and asserting his team's aggressive play style. Nash praised the team's relentless approach, stating, "We're diving around out there jumping on piles. We're nuts."

The Dux (3-0) showcased their prowess with touchdowns from Brandon Holman, Drew Albrecht, and Kenny Howe. Coach Jeff Bolhouse was pleased with the defense, which focuses on energy and relentless pursuit of the ball, despite the team's lack of possession in the early quarters. Huron Heights managed to score despite holding the ball for most of the first and third quarters, missing a 27-yard field goal.

Holman led the scoring with a 39-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, followed by a two-point conversion. Kenny Howe then scored on a pass from Albrecht and added two more touchdowns, including a crucial late run for the two-point conversion that extended the lead to 16-0 at halftime. The team continued their dominance in the fourth quarter, with Howe scoring yet again on a 4-yard run, sealing the victory with a 2-point conversion.
