Young leaders arrive in Yekaterinburg for International Youth Festival

Participants from forty-seven countries have already arrived in Yekaterinburg for the International Youth Festival, announced the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Grigory Gurov, during a press conference. Currently, young people are checking in, with 47 countries represented. These include Australia, Algeria, Brazil, Indonesia, Mongolia, Korea, Serbia, Seychelles, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Finland, France, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States of America.

All participants are expected to arrive on September 11 and 12. Upon arrival, they are greeted with bread and salt and flowers. Gurov emphasized that the city is already bustling with laughter and smiles as everyone awaits their arrival. The International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg will gather 10,000 young leaders from 191 countries, comprising 5,000 participants from Russia and 5,000 from foreign countries.

Additionally, a thousand teenagers aged 14 to 17 will participate in the program. Gurov highlighted that special attention will be given to those celebrating their birthdays, with about 1,500 people receiving birthday congratulations during the festival. Under the theme "Follow Your Dream," the festival will be held by TASS, the general information partner of the event.
