'Wonderful Experience': African Journalist Shadrach Hollow Hails India’s BRICS Summit, Calls For Stronger Business Ties And Local Currency Trade

Shadrach Hollow, a journalist with TV BRICS Africa, expressed that attending the BRICS Summit in India has been an incredible experience. The summit drew a multitude of delegations and business representatives. Hollow, who brought 130 business owners from South Africa to the summit, praised the scale and diversity of the event. Hollow highlighted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's acknowledgement of the responsibility for development not solely resting on governments but also on businesses.

He emphasized the need for stronger business ties and local currency trade among BRICS countries. Hollow also expressed hope for progress in discussions around a common payment system among BRICS nations. He noted that the use of local currencies for trade is a better alternative than relying on the US dollar, especially considering the economic collaborations between South Africa and India.
