UAE weather: Temperatures to reach 47°C as humidity and fog return

The United Arab Emirates is bracing for another scorching Saturday, with temperatures soaring to 47°C in Liwa and 45°C in Al Ain as humid conditions return overnight. The National Centre of Meteorology predicts fair to partly cloudy skies, with the potential for convective clouds to form in eastern and southern regions during the afternoon.

Overnight humidity is expected to rise, paving the way for fog or mist in certain coastal and inland areas. South-east to north-east winds will blow at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally reaching 40 km/h, with the Arabian Gulf experiencing slight to moderate wind speeds. High tide will occur at 2.17pm and 1.59am, while low tides are forecast at 7.45am and 7.50pm.

In the Oman Sea, high tides will be at 10.18am and 10.58pm, while low tides are expected at 4.38pm and 4.46am. Abu Dhabi is anticipated to peak at 42°C, with a low of 30°C, while Dubai will record a high of 42°C and a low of 29°C. Sharjah and Ajman will see highs of 41°C, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah will reach 42°C, and Fujairah will be at 35°C.

Inland areas are expected to experience the most intense heat, with Al Ain reaching 45°C and Liwa hitting 47°C. Ruwais and Al Sila may top out at 41°C, while Dalma could soar to 40°C. Humidity levels could climb as high as 90% in Abu Dhabi, Liwa, Ruwais, Al Sila, and Dalma, while Dubai and Sharjah may reach 85%. The cooler weather is projected to continue into Sunday, with partly cloudy skies and humidity levels increasing overnight and into Monday morning, potentially bringing fog or mist to some coastal and inland areas.

Similar conditions are expected to persist for Monday and Tuesday, featuring partly cloudy conditions, overnight humidity, and a chance of fog or mist during early morning hours.
