UAE allocates $10 million for humanitarian response in Haiti

The United Arab Emirates has allocated $10 million in urgent humanitarian aid to Haiti through the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, following directives from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The assistance program, coordinated with UAE missions overseas and international organizations, aims to provide critical support to those affected by Haiti's humanitarian crisis, which has been exacerbated by escalating violence, insecurity, and the deterioration of essential services.

The first phase of the relief effort will prioritize food supplies, shelter materials, health services, water, sanitation and hygiene facilities, as well as medicines, medical supplies and equipment. The UAE's commitment to international humanitarian efforts reflects its tradition of standing in solidarity with friendly nations during crises, and the relief program is designed to strengthen affected communities' resilience and support early recovery.
