The Inbetweeners at Las Ramblas

On this day, the Inbetweeners Golf Society flocked to the Las Ramblas Golf Course for their customary round of golf, complete with questionable judgment calls and the standard generous interpretation of the term "competitive." The tournament format was a Texas Scramble, which encouraged teamwork, strategic thinking, and lively debate among participants.

Choosing the optimal drive proved to be a straightforward task; however, determining the best approach shot was considerably more challenging. Some teams showcased impressive tactical awareness, while others seemed to operate under the misguided belief that someone's fault was inevitable.

The course witnessed several exceptional drives, remarkable approaches, and a handful of putts that truly warranted applause. Unfortunately, there were also instances where shots were swiftly forgotten, often accompanied by the phrase, "I just caught it a bit."

The allure of the Texas Scramble lies in its inclusivity, as everyone is given an opportunity to contribute to the team's success. While some contributions were undoubtedly more impactful than others, there was ample encouragement between teammates and occasional discussions regarding which shot should be selected.

In the end, the outcomes were incredibly close, with a few superior putts throughout the round proving decisive. Nevertheless, as is customary, the true victors of the day were the Inbetweeners themselves, relishing the camaraderie, laughter, and the picturesque setting of Las Ramblas. Additionally, they earned enough bragging rights to keep the arguments raging until the next round of golf.

2nd Place – Bertrand La Font, Sam Williamson, Kevin Sewards, and Lesley Cullen with a score of 48 points

3rd Place – Malcolm Thomas, Paul Cox, Vic Smith, and Joel Mortiers with a score of 47 points

4th Place – James Rolston, Roy Harris, Martin Buckley with a score of 46 points
