S'pore security guard, 46, gropes female colleague, 73, under guise of massaging her, gets 10 months' jail

A 46-year-old security guard committed an act of indecency on a 73-year-old female colleague, masquerading as a massage, and was subsequently jailed for 10 months. The incident, which occurred in July 2025, transpired during their shared morning shift, around 11am. The security guard approached the victim, seated, and began massaging her back, eventually descending to her lower body.

The victim, overwhelmed with fear and outrage, remained frozen in terror. The guard continued his actions, groping her chest on the left side and hugging her, despite her attempts to push his hands away. The commotion of a vehicle arriving at the gate forced the guard to depart the guardhouse. The woman reported the incident to the police two weeks later, and CCTV footage captured the event.

The prosecution argued that the guard had meticulously planned the act, using the pretense of a massage, leading to a plea for a 10 to 12-month sentence. The guard pleaded guilty to one of the two charges, assault and outrage of modesty, with the other charge considered during the sentencing phase.
