Singapore’s Baker’s Brew enters liquidation after failing to continue business

Singapore's locally-owned bakery, formerly known as Baker's Brew Studio and now BB Atelier, has entered liquidation due to its inability to continue business operations amid its liabilities. A creditors' meeting held on August 31 confirmed this decision, with Goh Wee Teck and Lin Yueh Hung appointed as liquidators. The company is presently embroiled in several legal proceedings, including a negligence suit filed by PSGourmet, the operator of the PS.Cafe restaurant chain, which took place at the State Courts on September 1.

Baker's Brew, which launched as a bakery studio in Sembawang in February 2015, saw growth through subsequent outlets in Upper Thomson, Paragon, and Great World City. However, all four outlets have since been permanently closed, as indicated on Google's listing. Despite possessing high ratings of between 4.7 and 4.8 stars, the bakery's online presence has dwindled.

Its Facebook and Instagram accounts became inactive in May, while its Shopee store, which still features around 40 food products, indicates a last activity about 15 weeks ago and is currently marked as being "on vacation."

The company's website connected to its social media accounts is no longer accessible, and a claim on one of its Instagram posts suggests the bakery owes a supplier approximately S$29,000 (RM93,184), although this has not been independently verified. AsiaOne reported efforts to contact the account behind the comment and Baker's Brew Studio for comment.
