Ranger Suarez goes 7 innings, Wilyer Abreu hits key 2-run double as Red Sox beat Royals 5-1

Suarez, who had been scoreless over seven innings in his previous start at Baltimore on September 4, allowed five hits and did not walk a batter. Anthony Seigler, the Red Sox's second baseman, left the game in the seventh inning after appearing to injure his right wrist or hand during an earlier swing.

The Red Sox will face the Royals for a final time on Sunday, with the series finale moved to 3:05 p.m. after an earlier 1:35 p.m. start was canceled due to forecasted rain.
