Qatar Charity's humanitarian, development efforts reach over 10 million people across 44 countries in seven months

Qatar Charity (QC) has reached over 10 million individuals across 44 nations through its humanitarian and development initiatives during the first seven months of 2026. Backed by generous donors in Qatar, these projects totaled approximately QAR 809 million in value. The organization's services impacted more than 5.8 million people in 31 countries through total humanitarian and relief interventions, valued at QAR 236 million.

QC prioritized responding to major crises in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and Syria, while also addressing overlooked issues like the Rohingya refugee crisis. To bolster early-warning systems and decision-making, QC launched an Information and Crisis Management Center. On the development side, 11,114 projects across 44 countries, totaling around QAR 573 million, benefited more than 4.2 million people.

These initiatives focused on water and sanitation, health, education, economic empowerment, food security, and social welfare, with faster projects aimed at delivering quick yet lasting results.

QC's Rofaqa initiative sponsored over 225,000 individuals, including orphans, vulnerable families, students, and persons with disabilities, providing support for livelihoods, education, and personal growth. A notable program within Rofaqa is Furqan, which offers Quran and Arabic language education, enhancing character development and personal growth for sponsored children in non-Arabic-speaking countries. QC has integrated a dedicated Rofaqa category within the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition.
