Overwatch Reveals First Look at New Omnic Hero Coming Later This Year

Blizzard has unveiled the first look at a new Overwatch Hero set to debut in 2026. Following the announcement of Doctrine, a Support hero with a vampire theme, Blizzard shared a social media post showcasing the complete roster for the upcoming year. Surprisingly, amidst a lineup of familiar faces, a previously unseen Omnic stood out, wearing a robotic trench coat, a stylish hat, and wielding an umbrella as a weapon.

The hero, unnamed for now and designated as Hero 55, is confirmed to be a Support character. Fans are buzzing with excitement, speculating that the umbrella weapon could be a healing mechanism. Blizzard has previously maintained secrecy around new Hero reveals, but for this unnamed Omnic and the BlizzCon 2026, they have made an exception.

The design differs significantly from the one showcased at the February Spotlight presentation, but fans are pleased with what they see. The news comes alongside other major updates for Overwatch, including the return of Dokiwatch and reworks for Sombra and Roadhog. Game director Aaron Keller hinted at more exciting developments for the game in February 2027.
