Norris hails career best lap after seizing Spanish GP pole

Lando Norris, a McLaren driver from Great Britain, secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix at the Madring circuit on Saturday. The British racing driver narrowly beat reigning World Champion Kimi Antonelli by just 11 thousandths of a second, with Max Verstappen of Ferrari qualifying third-fastest for Sunday's race. Norris expressed his surprise at qualifying ahead of the championship leader, crediting his third pole in four races.

The adrenaline was high in Norris' last lap, and he stressed the importance of relaxing and letting it all flow. Lewis Hamilton will start on the second row of the grid alongside Verstappen, while Charles Leclerc of Ferrari's teammate Charles Leclerc qualified fifth. George Russell from the second Mercedes secured sixth position, with Oscar Piastri from McLaren's teammate in seventh.

For Red Bull, Liam Lawson will start eighth, while Franco Colapinto will begin ninth and Racing Bulls' rookie Arvid Lindblad rounds out the top ten on the grid.
