Nigeria can become Africa’s sporting hub – Ex-FIFA Sec-Gen Samoura

Fatma Samoura, former FIFA Secretary-General and first African and woman to hold the position, speaks about her experience at FIFA and her new role on the Advisory Board of the African Collaborations Group (ACG). Samoura highlights the importance of diversity but stresses that it must be backed by competence, integrity, and results.

She also explains her motivation behind joining ACG, which aims to help Africa capture more value from its sporting talent by creating integrated sports and entertainment districts. Samoura believes that such districts can transform Nigeria, Africa's largest sporting and entertainment market, into a hub for sporting excellence and economic growth.
