Motorcyclist killed after hitting dog and being struck by pickup

Khlong Luang police responded to a fatal crash on Phahonyothin Road on Saturday, September 12, 2026. A 36-year-old motorcyclist, Pruettinan Tong-on, had been hit by a dog, causing him to fall from his motorcycle. He then collided with an Isuzu pickup truck, resulting in his death. The victim's body was found in the middle of the road with his left leg severed.

Nearby, police discovered the damaged Honda Wave motorcycle belonging to Tong-on, which bore a Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya licence plate. The pickup truck, driven by 47-year-old Watthana Silanamthiang, was parked about 50 meters away with signs of impact on its licence plate and front bumper. Police, traffic officers, a forensic doctor from Thammasat University Hospital, and volunteers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation gathered at the scene.

Police documented the incident as evidence and assigned the volunteers to transport the body for a detailed autopsy. Authorities will notify the victim's relatives to collect the body and make necessary arrangements for religious rites. Police are still investigating the details of the accident.
