Mason Flesch has two tries as Canada falls to Fiji 45-29 at Pacific Nations Cup

Mason Flesch scored two tries as Canada's men's rugby team suffered a 45-29 loss to ninth-ranked Fiji in the semifinal of the Pacific Nations Cup on Saturday. In addition to Flesch, Sion Parry and Kyle Tremblay also managed to score tries for Canada. Takodo McMullin demonstrated reliability from the tee for the Canadians, successfully kicking four out of five attempts, including three conversions and a long-range penalty.

Fiji will face Japan in the tournament's final the following week, while Canada will concentrate on the third-place playoff, scheduled for September 19 in Tokyo, where they will face the United States. The last time Canada played against the United States was in August 2025, where Canada emerged victorious 34-20 against the Americans in front of 11,587 spectators at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium.
