Lowry takes four-shot lead as Trump jets in for Irish Open

Golf star Shane Lowry established a four-shot lead over his competitors during the final round of the Irish Open at the Doonbeg course in Doonbeg, Ireland on Saturday. Trump, a golf enthusiast, arrived by helicopter just after concluding his official duties in Dublin. The 39-year-old Lowry, who had won his home Open in 2009 as an amateur and his sole major at Royal Portrush seven years ago, posted a five-under-par round of 65, placing him at 16 under for the event.

He expressed his delight, stating that the enthusiastic crowd had cheered him throughout his performance. Jacob Skov Olesen of Denmark secured the second position with a three-putt bogey on the 18th hole, while Chile's Joaquin Niemann, and Tom McKibbin and Daniel Rodrigues were third and fourth, respectively. Rory McIlroy, the six-time major champion and a close friend of Trump, did not successfully defend his title after a disappointing day, ranking two over.

McIlroy praised the tournament's excitement due to Lowry's leading position and confirmed his attendance at a dinner with Trump, who expressed his appreciation for McIlroy at the 18th green. The 80-year-old Trump is anticipated to attend the closing round on Sunday and could potentially present the trophy to the winner.
