However, he admitted that the team lacked energy and pace in the first half, which ultimately cost them the victory. He also pointed out that a majority of the changes made to the lineup were due to player fatigue, as most of them had just returned from a Champions League match against Atletico Madrid just three days prior.

Iraola emphasized the need for his players to adapt quickly and find ways to secure victories, given the high-pressure nature of the season. Regarding Bradley Barcola, Iraola stated that he is working on building the young player both physically and mentally through matches. However, he lamented that the team as a whole needed more freshness, as the absence of new energy was a recurring issue in their recent performances.

Interestingly, Liverpool have drawn four consecutive Premier League games at Anfield for the first time since 2011, and they have not scored in the first half of three consecutive Premier League matches at Anfield for the first time since April 2021.
