Kyle Tucker’s grand slam helps Dodgers beat Marlins 6-2 for 8th straight win

Kyle Tucker's sixth career grand slam propelled the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Friday night, extending their season-high winning streak to eight games. Tucker, who also singled in the first and tripled in the sixth, connected on a 1-1 pitch from reliever Cade Gibson to put the Dodgers ahead 6-1 in the seventh inning.

Max Muncy contributed with three hits and a walk, while Will Smith added a run-scoring single. Blake Snell (4-1) allowed one run and struck out eight over 5 2/3 innings. After leading 2-0, the Marlins closed the gap with a run-scoring double by Agustín Ramírez. Victor Vodnik and Javier Sanoja provided key hits for the Marlins, who have lost seven of their last eight games.

Ryan Gusto (1-5) was the losing pitcher, allowing two runs on five hits. The Marlins' top prospect Josue De Paula made his major league debut, going 1-for-3 in his first game.
