Jaandaar, who claimed the F.D. Wadia Trophy (Grade 3) recently, is deemed a strong contender for another Grade 3 win as he lines up in the S.A. Poonawalla Million (Grade III) at the Pune racecourse on Sunday. Trained by Pesi Shroff, Jaandaar has won his first race since his debut in the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy (VI Bart) Trophy on December 4.
Riding for a third consecutive time, Jeevika Pasi will partner Jaandaar in the upcoming event. Despite being favored, Jaandaar faces tough competition from Avener and Invincible Force, with all three horses set to partake in a fiercely contested race.
