Eugen Polanski makes Gladbach admission after Freiburg thrashing: ‘We need honest conversations’

Borussia Mönchengladbach manager Eugen Polanski has called for "honest conversations" following his team's 5-0 loss to Freiburg. The Freiburg side remains without a point after the three opening Bundesliga matches, with Gladbach's deficit exacerbated by Tim Kleindienst's second-half sending-off. Polanski believed his team had a strong start before conceding one goal, attributing it to another individual error that opened the floodgates for Freiburg.

After trailing 2-0, Kleindienst received a second yellow card, leading to his dismissal and further weakening the team. The manager questioned the red card decision, insisting it wasn't sufficient for a yellow. However, he refused to blame the referee, emphasizing the need for better play and goalkeeping. When asked if the club still believes in his ability to steer the team out of their difficult start, Polanski replied, "Everyone knows how the business works.

At the end of the day, just like after every matchday, we have to look each other in the eye and discuss things, and that is what we will do." He expressed confidence in overcoming the situation but stressed the importance of having honest conversations.
