“Especially the Old Lady” Cuadrado thanks Juventus as he leaves European football

Colombian footballer Juan Cuadrado has officially bid farewell to European football after joining Millonarios, expressing heartfelt thanks to Juventus for their instrumental role in his illustrious career. Cuadrado, who spent almost two decades in Europe, spent the majority of his time in Italy, establishing himself as a key player for several clubs.

His tenure at Juventus, from 2015 to 2023, was particularly successful, during which he played a pivotal role in their five consecutive league titles and a Champions League final appearance in 2017. Cuadrado even captained the Bianconeri during his final months with the club.

However, the Colombian star has chosen to move on from European football, beginning a new chapter with Millonarios. When discussing his European career, Cuadrado emphasized how special Juventus is to him, while also expressing gratitude to all the clubs that contributed to his growth as a player and a person. Reflecting on the end of his European journey, Cuadrado shared, "After almost 20 years in Europe, I don’t know what to write.

Simply thank you to all the clubs that allowed me to grow as a player and as a person, especially the Old Lady, where I spent most of my career. Thank you, Italy, I will always be grateful."
