EPL: Spurs go four games without scoring after 0-0 draw with Everton

The Tottenham Hotspur football team suffered a goalless draw against Everton, extending a four-match goalless start to their Premier League season, on Saturday. Roberto De Zerbi, the team's manager, had assembled a team with expensive signings, but their season's opening has been wretched. The team managed to secure two points from their first four games, with their only goals coming against Championship side Charlton Athletic in a League Cup match.

Their search for goals continues as they face Liverpool in the League Cup third round on Tuesday and host Aston Villa in the league next weekend.

De Zerbi's side remains unbeaten under David Moyes in the Premier League, having drawn three matches and won one. Despite spending over £300 million on ten new players since the end of last season, Tottenham's performance has been poor, with defeats against Brentford and Newcastle, and a draw against Nottingham Forest, leaving them in the relegation zone ahead of this weekend's fixtures.

The team's morale was low, and De Zerbi desperately needed a win to boost it. However, they failed to capitalize on several chances, with Savio shooting just wide, Mateus Fernandes firing over, and Omar Marmoush missing a good opportunity. Despite a late chance, Everton held on to secure their first shot on target in the match. De Zerbi made several substitutions in an attempt to change the game's outcome, but it was too late for his team.
