‘Céline is everywhere in my life’: Thousands gather in Paris for Dion’s big comeback

Thousands of Céline Dion fans flocked to Paris for the singer's highly anticipated comeback concert at the Plenitude Arena. Many attendees had to battle crowds and fight for their coveted tickets, which were in high demand. Elda Vauttier, a 57-year-old fan from the Yvelines region, expressed her determination to secure a ticket for herself and her daughter.

Despite only getting one ticket, Vauttier was grateful for the opportunity to share the experience with her. Since childhood, Vauttier has been a devoted fan of Dion, having seen her perform twice in Paris and once in Las Vegas. She described Céline as a beautiful person with a warm soul who always puts her all into her performances.

Other fans, like Montreal-based flight attendants Frédérique Lauzon and Alexandrine Derome, traveled far from Montreal to secure last-minute tickets. Derome, who has attended 24 Dion performances, expressed excitement for the upcoming show. Marie-Caroline Honnet, attending her first Dion concert, emphasized the family passion for the singer, with her niece already learning Céline's songs.

Nicolas Enème, who traveled from Avignon, expressed amazement at the opportunity to attend the performance, stating that it felt like a miracle. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the cancellation of Dion's last tour in 2020 and her struggle with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, this will be the singer's first full concert in six years. Another 10 shows are scheduled for next year.
