Camara focused on Monaco season after Chelsea deal falls through

Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara has stated that he is fully focused on the upcoming Ligue 1 season after his £47.1 million transfer to Chelsea fell through. The 22-year-old Senegalese had completed a medical with Chelsea, but the deal ultimately did not go through despite two bids from the Premier League club. Camara acknowledged the possibility of leaving Monaco but insisted he has moved on from the disappointment.

He emphasized that he is now focused on the season, stating, "It didn't go through at the last minute, and that's part of football. I've turned the page and am focusing on the season." Monaco had previously lowered their asking price due to uncertainty surrounding Folarin Balogun's proposed move to Everton. However, Balogun's transfer seemed to rekindle interest from Monaco, leading to both players remaining with the Ligue 1 club.

Camara has started the season positively, contributing to Monaco's three consecutive wins in the Ligue 1.
